Fitness Challenge

October 24, 2014 was Scarlett's Fitness Challenge at school!  These kinders did so well and much fun was had.

The event started with a run.  Next, it was on to mountain climbers.  We practiced those at home on the days I didn't go to the gym.  It was fun working out with my munchkin.  Savannah got in on the action, too.  Then they went inside for sit ups.  Scarlett was selected to show everyone how to do a sit up properly.  Finally, it was time for crab kicks.

Personally, I love the step!  It was my first love...regarding working out that is.  Everyone did so well.

The event ended with an obstacle course.

Scarlett did a fantastic job AND went to bed early that night.  Double, yay!!  Whew!  What a day :o)

Fall Break 2014

October 13-17 was "fall break" for Scarlett.  No school for one week, yes!  One day I took them to Putt Putt and we had so much fun.  We were the only ones there and we went at our own speed.  It was great!  We ended up going the following Saturday as a family :o)

After a while, Scarlett got down on her knees and rolled the ball in the holes with her club!  Silly girl!

Savannah started rolling her ball in the holes with her hand!  Their giggles were priceless!

I spent that beautiful fall day with my beautiful girls!

When school resumed that following Monday, Scarlett was quickly reminded that playtime was over and it was back to business!  When we got home after I picked her up from school, she came into the house and feel asleep in the middle of the living room floor!  Apparently, the first day back was exhausting!  Other parents said that their kids did the same thing.

Liz's 1st Dance

Liz attended her first dance on September 20, 2014.  She was very excited and so were we.  The bottom left hand picture made me laugh SO hard!  Jeremiah was teaching her how to "properly" dance with a boy.  She needed to stand that far back, only touch him with two fingers, turn her head away from the boy...WITH her eyes closed!  I'm pretty sure Liz was saying "what the heck, dad?!"  I was trying to make him smile but nothing was working.  He kept staring into space and couldn't believe his little girl was off to her first dance.  He makes me laugh, too!

At one point, the camera went off and accidentally took a picture of Jeremiah genuinely smiling.  I didn't see that picture until days later.  I love me some candid shots.  Then it was time to go and Scarlett waved goodbye until they were out of sight.
