Sophia Lynette Update

4/9/13
This is the second day that baby girl is...breathing on her own!  She started out slow and the general plan is to have her off the vent during the day before she comes home.  She started by being off the ventilator one hour during the day and one hour at night.  Currently, she's off five hours during the day and five hours at night.  She's doing well and hasn't had any setbacks.  She still has her trach and probably will for several more months.  The blue tube is her humidifier.  The clear tube to the left of the blue one is her oxygen.  She only gets a quarter liter or a half liter of oxygen to help her along.

Miss. Sophia in an exersaucer!  Miss. Sophia had the opportunity to get into an exersaucer in one of her physical therapy sessions.  Her objective is to use her hands and look at toys.  She can't grab many things and both eyes can't focus at the same time.  Hopefully, she'll get there one day.  By the way, the next day she rolled over by herself!

Since she's getting too big to take a bath in the pink baby tub, she is now taking a bath in the bathtub!  This is her first time and she loved it.  Look at her being quite the diva.  Hands behind her head, legs crossed at the ankles, and perfectly content being pampered.  I love it!

Easter Sunday

Another Easter has come and gone and it was very pleasant this year.  I am so grateful for the Savior and all that he has done, and continues to do, for my family.  We started the day by attending church and I really enjoyed the Easter program.  As tradition would have it, we took pictures after church and then headed off to see Miss. Sophia Lynette!

Wait a second?!  Who's missing from this picture?!?!

 There's the baby!  Much better!

Here's Diva!  All dressed and ready for the camera!  She cracks me up.

I was so glad that she was in a fantastic mood.

 She's always smiling.

 Discovering her hairbow.

She gets her silliness from her daddy.

The official Easter picture in her Easter dress :o)  It was a great day!

Easter Egg Hunt

Scarlett had an Easter egg hunt at school on March 28th.  Her teacher always allow the siblings to come and participate in every activity and I love that!  The weather was perfect and the girls had a good time.  They found quite a few eggs a piece and were very proud of themselves!

So, we bought another house, yay!  More details on that in another post.  Anyway, we were having new windows installed and I went by the house to check on the installers.  I love that the girls brought their baskets and eggs along.  Those things didn't leave their side for the rest of the day!
